Der Magierturm ist dauerhaft verfügbar + Guides - News
Starting today, the Mage Tower is permanently available in the game. Check out our guides to get started!
Access to the Mage Tower is now permanent, allowing players to complete the 7 challenges and obtain the Soaring Spelltome mount without any downtime. This means the Mage Tower is no longer tied to Legion Timewalking bonus event. Legion Timewalking is still on a schedule and isn't available permanently!
Our Mage Tower Guide was tailored to teach you the basics of the Timewalking Mage Tower. You will learn how to enter the Mage Tower, what happens to your character upon entry, which items and "borrowed-power" spells are banned from the challenges, the different types of rewards you can unlock, and more.
The Mage Tower offers various rewards if you complete the challenges within. We have dedicated pages up for each challenge that you can find below. Note that we include the specialization that is capable of completing that challenge next to it.
- "Closing the Eye" for Arms Warrior, Frost Death Knight, Havoc Demon Hunter, Survival Hunter, and Subtlety Rogue.
- "An Impossible Foe" for Elemental Shaman, Feral Druid, Fire Mage, Fury Warrior, Outlaw Rogue, and Unholy Death Knight.
- "The God-Queen's Fury" for Arcane Mage, Assassination Rogue, Demonology Warlock, Enhancement Shaman, and Retribution Paladin.
- "Feltotem's Fall" for Beast Mastery Hunter, Destruction Warlock, Discipline Priest, and Windwalker Monk.
- "The Highlord's Return" for Blood Death Knight, Brewmaster Monk, Guardian Druid, Protection Paladin, Protection Warrior, and Vengeance Demon Hunter.
- "End of the Risen Threat" for Holy Priest, Holy Paladin, Mistweaver Monk, Restoration Druid, and Restoration Shaman.
- "Thwarting the Twins" for Affliction Warlock, Balance Druid, Frost Mage, Marksmanship Hunter, and Shadow Priest.
Here's Blizzard's official preview of the feature.
When first introduced in Legion, the Mage Tower challenged players to conquer unique solo class-specific encounters. Now the Tower is open once again, bringing back the excitement with all-new rewards to obtain, and a chance to prove your tenacity. Are you a master of your class? It's time to put your knowledge and skill to the test once more!
UPDATE: When we originally developed the Legion Timewalking Bonus Event, we were looking for other fun features from Legion we could add to it. Timeworn Keystones were part of that, and the Mage Tower as well.
Having heard feedback and seen how it has played out, we agree that a personal skill challenge being available only for a short window of time every few months isn't in the spirit of these types of events. As such, starting on the week of March 29, the Mage Tower will be accessible at any time, no longer tied to the Legion Timewalking Bonus Event.
